All Things Useless and Useful

I have always been very interested in useless things of all sorts, from the fact that nutmeg is extremely toxic when injected intravenously, to the strength of ants (they can carry 5,000 times their own body weight).

I can spend countless hours researching these and watching YouTube videos that cater to people like me who need to quench their thirst with such information that will admittedly have no positive impact on society but put a smile on my face.

On the other hand, I have always been fascinated by the power of a telephone line and modem (many years ago) or an optical fiber that allows you to communicate with people from the comfort of your home. It is incredible to think that you can set up a special hangout that people from all over the world can visit, interact with each other and if they enjoyed their experience, they come again. It is like a technological treehouse.

Another passion of mine is to share ideas with people that are like me or come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, learn about them, express myself through writing, and generally communicate in a meaningful way.

I wondered how I could satisfy these three cravings all at once and that is how I decided to build a website and start blogging…

No, I am not selling anything (at least not yet!) and you will not see ads on my website (maybe one day?!). I also do not care about likes, views, followers, flame emojis and bells (mostly because I do not know how to set them up at this time!) because my only goal is to post (even if my entire readership is comprised exclusively of my immediate family members).

I have created two sections: in the useless section, I will post videos, photos and links to websites that do not need any explanations as they are quite eloquent as is; in the useful section, I will blog about all kinds of things that I find interesting and hopefully, you will too.
